Cuts and Edits
History video sound from original DVD - New audio dubbed at fade in to As I Am.
Endless Sacrifice - Missing 15 seconds from the solo section - On original DVD, so new audio cut to match.
Another Day - First couple of notes from original DVD, then New audio dubbed.
The Silent Man - First 40-41secs of track from original DVD, the New audio dubbed.
In The Name Of God - Cuts in - On original DVD, so new audio cut in to match.
Metropolis Part 1 - Opening intro of Metropolis Part1 is from Original DVD and the new audio fades in after a few seconds. Band stops playing at standard pause point at 7mins 18-19sec into tracks. The first 6-7 secs of re-start is then actually patched from "Train Wreck" as the audio on the original DVD was too bad.
All cuts on the new audio were as a result of editing the radio broadcast to remove unwanted commentary etc. and there are other breaks in the audio in addition to the ones above, but all will be between tracks or at the end of the show. So you know the original audio is actually still on the finished DVD throughout at about 10% of the original volume. This therefore retains the atmosphere of an audience recording, but with almost soundboard quality sound for most of the show, as the crowds chit-chat etc. can still be heard in places.
The video is a bit shaky as the taper hunts around the
stage through his viewfinder. Close ups are great as well as screen views
and full band shots.
In comparrison to other video bootlegs in my collection, I would rate this a B video, A++ audio.
